“Let there be light”, although varied in its meaning, to us means keeping the town of Les Cayes out of the dark, both literally and figuratively.
That being said we at Combite Cayenne have partnered with organizations such as ARCAM and GCF (Gaskov Clergé Foundation) to provide light to the areas of Les Cayes that are most in need of it.
Specifically, we have developed in partnership with local engineers and technicians the ability to add solar powered street lights. This can be done systematically and repeatably. The proliferation of these lights will enable people to move in safety as well as provide reading lights for students at night.
In many ways this is a humble start to an initiative that will have a long lasting and positive impact on the town and the community as a whole.
